These terms apply to your use of the timer at https://pomodoro-adhd.pages.dev (the "Site"), run by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. What the Site is
The Site is a free, browser-based focus timer. It shows how much time is left, can display your current task while the timer runs, and can alert you when a session ends. You don't need an account.
2. Not medical advice
The Site is a productivity tool. It is not a medical device, it doesn't diagnose or treat ADHD or any other condition, and nothing on the Site is medical advice. Whether a timer helps you focus differs from person to person. See our Disclaimer.
3. Your data stays on your device
Task names, session history, and settings are saved only in your browser (see our Privacy Policy). We don't back them up and can't restore them. They may be lost if you clear your browser data, use a private window, switch devices or browsers, or if your browser removes stored data. You are responsible for keeping any copy you need.
4. Timer reliability
We try to keep the timer accurate, but browsers can slow down or pause timers, sounds, and notifications when the tab is in the background, the device is asleep, or notifications are blocked. Don't rely on the Site for medication, cooking, or any other safety-critical reminder.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interfere with or disrupt the Site, or try to gain unauthorized access to it;
- use automated means to put an unreasonable load on the Site;
- copy the Site's name, design, or content in a way that suggests you are us or are working with us;
- use the Site for anything unlawful.
6. Planned paid features
The Site is free to use. We may show prices for planned paid features to learn whether people want them. These features are not available yet, and you can't buy them. Clicking a price or an upgrade button doesn't charge you and doesn't collect any payment or contact details.
If we launch paid features, we will publish their price, billing terms, and a refund policy before you can pay, and those terms will apply to your purchase.
7. Intellectual property
The Site's design, code, text, and sounds belong to us or our licensors. The tasks you type are yours.
Pomodoro® and Pomodoro Technique® are registered trademarks of Francesco Cirillo. The Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Francesco Cirillo. Other product names mentioned on the Site belong to their owners, and mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse us or work with us.
8. Changes to the Site
We may change, suspend, or stop any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. Because your data is stored on your device, stopping the Site doesn't delete it, but you may no longer be able to view it through the Site.
9. No warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the timer will always be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, time, or productivity, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to US$50.
Some places don't allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
11. Third-party services
The Site uses Cloudflare for hosting and Google Analytics for usage statistics, as described in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to their services.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator resides, unless mandatory consumer law of your country says otherwise. Before filing any claim, please contact us first at hello@howtallai.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
