Pomodoro Timer

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-13
Version: 0.1

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the timer at https://pomodoro-adhd.pages.dev (the "Site"). The Site is run by an independent developer ("we", "us").

The short version

1. What stays on your device

The timer saves the following in your browser's local storage so it works the next time you open it:

This data never leaves your device. We can't see it, and we can't recover it for you. To delete it, use the "Clear my data" button in the timer settings, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows delete it when you close them.

If you turn them on, the Site may also use these browser features. All of them run on your device and send nothing to us:

2. Information we collect

WhatHowWhy
Usage data: pages viewed; timer events such as a session starting or finishing; clicks on buttons, including the price of a planned paid feature; approximate location (country or city); device and browser type; referring siteGoogle Analytics 4 cookies and scriptsTo understand which pages and features are used and to improve the Site
Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, time of requestSent automatically by your browser when it loads our pagesTo deliver the Site and keep it secure

Analytics events never include your task names or other text you type. They do record the timer length you pick.

We don't create accounts. We don't collect payment information: paid features are not available yet, and a price shown for a planned feature is a preview only. If you click it, we record only that the button was clicked.

3. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies only:

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visitors apartUp to 2 years
_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps session stateUp to 2 years

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these cookies are off until you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can click "Reject" to turn them off. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Before you choose, Google Analytics may still receive basic cookieless pings, such as that a page was viewed; no cookies are set or read.

We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization in Google Analytics, and we don't link Google Analytics to any advertising account. We don't use advertising cookies or ad pixels.

Wherever you are, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Do Not Track: The Site doesn't change its behavior based on "Do Not Track" signals. Because we don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is nothing of that kind to opt out of.

4. Health information

Some pages on the Site talk about ADHD and time blindness. The Site doesn't ask about your health, a diagnosis, or medication, and we don't use analytics data to guess anything about your health. We don't create profiles of individual visitors. Anything you type into the timer, including task names, stays on your device (see section 1).

5. Who processes data for us

ProviderRoleDataPrivacy policy
Cloudflare, Inc.Website hostingIP address, request datahttps://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Google LLC (Google Analytics)Usage statisticsCookie ID, usage data, approximate locationhttps://policies.google.com/privacy

Neither provider receives your task names or session history.

6. How long we keep data

DataRetention
Task names, session history, settings, cookie choiceOn your device only, until you delete them
Google Analytics data2 months, then deleted automatically by Google
Technical request dataKept by Cloudflare under its own policy; we don't keep copies

7. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors)

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, the UK, California, Washington, or another US state with a privacy law), you may have the right to:

To make a request, email hello@howtallai.com. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. We never receive your tasks or session history, so there is nothing of that kind for us to return or delete; you can delete it yourself as described in section 1. For analytics data, clearing your cookies breaks the link between you and past usage data.

If you're in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. International transfers

Google and Cloudflare may process technical and analytics data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We are located outside the EEA and may view analytics reports from there. These reports show statistics, not your task names or anything you type.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Users under 18 should use the Site only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Site and you want analytics data removed, contact us.

11. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Your tasks are never sent over the network, because they stay on your device. Anyone with access to your device or browser profile can see them, so use a private window on shared computers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we receive to a minimum.

12. Changes

If we add accounts, syncing across devices, payments, or email, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and ask for your consent where required. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
